Birth Doula Services
What Is a Doula?
A doula is someone who walks alongside you through pregnancy, labor, birth, and the early days of postpartum, offering continuous emotional, physical, and informational support.
My role is not to tell you how to give birth, but to help you feel informed, confident, heard, and supported as you make the choices that are right for you and your family.
How can a doula support you?
Emotional Support
Birth can bring excitement, uncertainty, strength, and everything in between. I’m there to offer reassurance, encouragement, and a calm presence throughout your experience.
Physical Comfort
I can help with breathing techniques, movement, positioning, massage, counter-pressure, relaxation, and other comfort measures to help you work with your body during labor.
Information & Advocacy
You deserve to understand your options. I can provide evidence-based information, help you prepare questions for your care team, and encourage you to be an active voice in your care.
Partner Support
Your partner is an important part of your birth team. I’ll support them, too! Offering suggestions and encouragement so they can feel confident and involved.
Continuous Presence
Your care team has many responsibilities, but a doula's focus is you. I’m there to provide steady, one-on-one support through the long hours, unexpected moments, and beautiful ones.
A doula does not replace your medical provider!
Doulas do not diagnose, perform clinical procedures, or make medical decisions. Instead, we work alongside your midwife, OB, nurses, and other providers to support you emotionally and physically.
There is no single “right” way to give birth. Whether you are planning a home birth, birth center birth, hospital birth, medicated birth, unmedicated birth, or something completely different, you deserve to feel respected and supported.
Your birth is your story. My role is simply to walk beside you, help you find your confidence, and hold the light when things feel uncertain.
